Unless you have ever been a server (and NO McDonald's doesn't count) - do not presume to know your server's job and how it is supposed to be done. Most restaurants have a set series of steps that the server is required to complete in order and in a specified amount of time (each restuarant has different steps of service). Remember - every time a server has to deviate from the steps of service, your service will be delayed another 2 to 5 minutes. Instead, you should RELAX and allow your server to take care of you - it is what a good server WANTS to do!
Part of relaxing involves leaving the bad attitude at the door. Your negative attitude affects EVERYONE at the table and will also NEGATIVELY IMPACT THE QUALITY OF SERVICE YOU RECEIVE. If you are in that bad of a mood - then STAY AT HOME! Most likely you aren't going to tip me enough to make it worth dealing with your sorry ass anyway!
Remember, your server has to deal with the attitudes and demands from upwards of 100 people in one shift. And if you think it is easy to provide great service to someone who is in a bad mood, or has outrageous expectations, or wants to make you "work for your tip" then you need to do spend about 10 hours working with troubled youth and then come back and tell me how "easy" it is.
